To be brave means that you do the right thing no matter what others say. To be brave means standing up for someone when you see wrong being done to them.

To be brave means knowing who you are and working hard to be better. To be brave means you still have your integrity after a battle or conflict; you can say that you’ve been honest, true, and respectful in spite of how others have treated you.

To be brave means stepping into the unknown when nothing is guaranteed and it looks impossible. To be brave means asking for help sometimes or admitting that you are in over-your-head.

To be brave means smiling at that stranger who might just be the best friend you ever had. IMG_0948To be brave means owning your mistakes but not being beaten down by them. To be brave means your knees are worn out from prayer.

To be brave means stepping up to be the first because no one else will. To be brave means that you can laugh at yourself and live to go on. To be brave means you can forgive and move on through hurt and pain.

To be brave means embracing new beginnings even though it is much more comfortable to stay with the status quo. To be brave happens in simple everyday moments. When you know that there is at least one other person in your corner, it is easier to be brave.
